Who we are
Construction Virtual Assistants (“CVA”, “we”) provides remote construction operations support. We operate from Kenya and work with clients internationally. We are the data controller for information submitted through this website.

What we collect
Information you submit. When you use a form on this site we receive the fields on that form. For the qualification form that is typically your name, work email, company, company size, the bottleneck you selected, and your description of the work. For the VA application form it is typically your name, email, country and time zone, support area, availability, experience and tools.
Technical information. Our hosting and network providers process routine request data such as IP address, browser and device details, requested URL, timestamps and security events. This is standard web server activity and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell personal information, and this site has no user accounts, payments or customer portal.
Why we hold it and on what basis
We use what you submit to read your enquiry, reply to you, and discuss whether and how we could work together. For VA applications we use it to assess suitability and to contact you if there is a fit.
We process it because you asked us to contact you, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and keeping a record of them. We do not use it for anything else without telling you first.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers to run this website and deliver your message. Each processes information only to provide that service to us:
- Vercel hosts this website and processes technical request data.
- Resend delivers the notification email that tells us you have been in touch.
- Our email provider holds that notification in our inbox.
These providers operate servers outside Kenya, so submitting a form involves an international transfer of your information. We use established providers and limit what each one receives to what it needs to perform its function.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiries and applications for one year from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. If we go on to work together, records relating to that engagement are kept for as long as the relationship continues and for any period we are required to keep business records.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See your rights below.
Your rights
Under the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to be informed of how your data is used, to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to object to or restrict processing, to request deletion, and to receive your data in a portable form.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another region with its own data protection law, you may have equivalent or additional rights under that law. We will honour a request on the same terms wherever you are.
To exercise any of these, email hello@constructionvirtualassistants.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
If you are in Kenya and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Security
Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to respond. Our security page sets out how we handle access to client systems during an engagement.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you need to send something sensitive, contact us first and we will agree a suitable method.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes affecting information we already hold will be notified directly where we have a way to reach you.
